what brand do you think of when you see the above ads? american apparel? urban outfitters? shockingly enough, these photos are hot off the press from kmart’s new marketing campaign which is attempting to identify the discount retailer as a unique, hip shopping destination.
with a new tagline “money can’t buy style” and an emphasis on featuring “real” models such as bloggers and everyday folk, the company hopes to win over new customers by adding the line in their top 300 stores. shot in the mark hotel in NY, “models” were encouraged to style their own outfits letting their personal style shine through the merchandise which will no doubt have the kmart low-price price-tag.
